I love that this week's prompt for one deep breath is that of 'moonstruck' -what a fabulous turn of phrase! - and all things lunar. The moon always gives me a particularly good feeling and has connections for myself which I strongly associate with my daughter's first few years. From when she was first born I remember night feeds at 1am (and 2am and 3am!) where I would draw back the curtains, everso slightly, to watch her face contented and perfect by the moon's rays. Those days passed by so quickly. Later on Rhiannon became a huge fan of the moon herself, thanks to a certain Bear and his friend, Luna moon, and we would nightly look out to see if Luna was coming out to play. These cold and overcast winter nights of late I've not seen her and I hate to say I can't remember when we last looked. Maybe Rhi and I should start to take up sentry duty again on the next clear evening, afterall at 8 years old there's still plenty of time for nightwatching, moondancing and stargazing......
Moon
moonlight steals between
curtains absent-mindedly
parted - my first-born sighs
as diana watched
the moon-bound girl and I bond
strengthened by this love

In the first haiku I specially like how it reads as though the moon is absent minded until you get to the third line
Stealthy and absent-minded--a dangerous combination. Seems like the moon wants to be a part of your magic with your daughter.
